The Neocene is a a speculative biology project created and led by Pavel Volkov. The project imagines how organisms will evolve within 25 million years in the future. The project included an analysis of Dougal Dixon's "The Future Is Wild".

Geography of the future

During the Neocene Europe and Africa eventually fuse, closing up the Mediterranean Sea, The Red Sea has dried out, the Americas have separated, East Africa was separated creating a new subcontinent named Zinj Land, the Australian continent and New Guinea island fuse and Atlantic Ocean has been expanded.
